• A one or two-day workshop addressing the need for a comprehensive literacy or math program.
• A one or two-day workshop concentrating on a specific literacy or math methodology. Participants will learn the theory and rational behind a particular literacy method.
• Classroom lessons that model a specific literacy or math methodology, such as Guided Reading, giving teachers the opportunity to observe new teaching methods.
• Additional individualized coaching to help teachers implement the new methods in their classrooms.
• A how-to plan for developing discussion groups that will provide peer support to teachers on how to best implement these new practices.
